I hate those "omg wiki is nub lololol" players.

I know you're not pointing fingers,
neither am I when I post the following:
But I think it's funny when you meet people that want specific bars for missions. Take Hell's Precipe, glf: a ranger with winter, not too many melee's because they ball and the fire-imp-creatures love that because the human monks can't handle it.

I lol'd at that screenshot. Nice rebuttal.
But really, that isnt the contention here. Its the attitude players in game have, and as we can see, there's pros and cons for either argument.

I cannot stand people who refuse to learn how to play the game. Asking questions and getting help is one thing, but people who beg other people to essentially play the game for them get kicked from my guild with impunity.

generally people who say "OMG your profession is ****, YOU CAN'T PLAY WIT UZ NUB URE PROF IS GAY
just shows total fail at the game being unable to alter your team to add a ranger or derv....
rangers apparantly = crap for deep according to my alliance...pretty sure they can run cry-way crap as well as anyone else with [echo]+[arcane echo] + [cry of pain] with 50e? apparantly not lol
o well....people fail at life therefore they fail at a game nuff said

that is such a leet idea
also people who call you nub for not using discord-crap-way
or any other cookie-cutter meta rubbish
also people who go "i can clear jokos in 1:30 with my leet discord team, anyone who takes longer is CRAP AT THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!!!" - so? you are abusing a overpowered team setup to clear what was a difficult area...and who cares how fast you did it? if someone does it in 2h good for them, just cause they aen't as fast doesn't mean they suck.
general overpowered builds peeve me for obvious reasons...why do you play the game if all you want to do is sit behind an almost invincible h/h setup whilst you just call targets...woot must give such a sense of valued time

I've been doing alliance battle lately. What's annoying is at the start when I see the other two teams on our side splitting into the three starting spots. And my team hasn't chosen a spot yet. So the other two teams are not going 4-4, leaving a spot for us. And each spot I go to, the person there tells me to go away.
And during battle I'm at a shrine and it shows the progress bar as we cap it. But everyone leaves me behind like I'm supposed to wait there with one arrow on the progress bar. Sometimes I've had it and just leave the shrine, telling them I won't sit behind like some bench warmer. If they don't want to cap, fine, we'll just get some Balthazar faction by mobbing.
And there's the usual and too common case where I whisper someone advertising a WTS in party search in Kamadan. And the person is afk but didn't put him or herself as afk. Or they whisper back saying they sold the item. 10 minutes later, they're still in party search because they forgot to themselves off of it.
I might have mentioned this one before, I don't remember. But before HFFF was nerfed, at some point I stopped taking leechers with me. I'm trying to type something in team chat and someone goes thru the portal back to the outpost. The loading screen yet again cuts me off. I'm in the outpost, continuing the type. And the same person exits thru the porta back to Melandru's Hope. I'm cut off AGAIN. So I stopped taking people with me for that.

I know what you mean. They're like the people who think they can always use the alliance chat like some 24 hour customer service line, including price check requests. When they get no answer, they complain saying the alliance is negligent.

I have a few pet peeves but they mostly all boil down to the same thing. Here are some of my more current annoyances:
Getting kicked out of a vs farm on a cryer char for not being rank 10 sunspear. (character was rank 8). Sorry, I know I'm maybe the only person that thinks maxing titles is supppper boring, but I just wanted to go mess around with a group of people and maybe get something to drop. Also, CoP does 7 points more damage at rank 10 than at rank 8. So, what exactly is the issue? Considering I've been farming vs's since people first started figuring out it was an option, I think I can handle it.
Some guy called me a noob for popping a ghost on a CoF run. I'll be honest, it was my first cof run, and yes they can be annoying to the 600, but still it wasn't that big of a deal. But the funny part wasn't that he called me a noob, it was that the flashed his zrank at me. Zrank? Seriously? What does that even prove about being on a cof run? Oh wow, you're being lazy and paying someone else to beat a dungeon for you too? Anyone who uses that emote to enforce that they are indeed teh leet is not really proving anything.

what annoys me the most in local and alliance chat are the endless questions. i dont mind answering a few but after 20 or more each day i say use wiki. but only to have one or more people jump my butt. umm yeah i hate using wiki too but even i know after a few questions it gets annoying. it ticks me off people dont wanna use wiki but rather stand their and ask endless questions to you like you have nothing better to do.

Just thought of another one: Guilds named after their emblem. Example: "The Blade and the Rose" etc. Seriously, the guild comes first, emblem second.

An important distinction to make here. Politely offering what you feel is helpful advice, with the goal of improving team synergy etc, is good. There's nothing wrong with that. What ticks me off are the arogant, pushy pricks who seem to think that their way of playing the game is the only way to play it.

I always hate it when I run to remote corners of an outpost and there are people standing over there. I mean seriously, what the H - E - double hockey sticks do they think they are doing back there???

Gotta love those.
I'm really sad most people play h/h nowadays. There's nothing I'd like more than playing a ranger named "Iol Legolas Iol" and annoying people with my level 5 pet. Oh and, running up to the warriors and casting Healing Spring to heal them.

-People that think they know all but are completely lost in missions.
-People saying tombs instead of tomes...
-People ctrl clicking their weapons in mission, and talking about them every time.
-People that think that because you gave them something free, you will give them 100 platinum ,and spam you in whisper.
there is more stuff but i dont have the time to write them.

*empathizes.
When I play with friends we actually let other people choose first so we don't have to scream "GO AWAY" at people, but that tends to happen anyway. --;

That made me LOL. Hard to believe on how stupid people are, you can be r6 and still have no problems.

Zrank is almost a joke. /taunt looks better. Takes PvE or even NO skills to get, if you can farm UW then you can be r7. If you can farm raptors you can be r3. If you can make predictions then you can be r1-?. Hero rank is harder, you must have at least some knowledge of PvP. It doesn't really matter popping the ghost, honestly, I don't find it a problem at all. I used to do CoF runs but once I get the gold for armor/weapons, why get more?

my one and only pet peeve is the whole notion of "cookie cutter" builds.
to me, there are two types of builds: ones that work in a certain instance for a given role, and ones that don't work. the builds that get tagged as "cookie cutter" are simply the ones that work the best, and a lot of people will use what works the best, as opposed to ones that don't work/don't work so well.

I can't STAND that. I can (with some work) ignore it when it's written, but when my friend says it "Tomb" over vent, it annoys me so much.
That and "q" denoting requirement. Since when did "requires..X" start with a Q? X_X
Lol, also, people begging for runs to Gunnar's Hold from The Eye. Even if you are going for survivor, it's such a short and easy fight with just henchmen, flag them ahead and wait for them to kill stuff and you're fine.
